After Shaheen Bagh, the police stopped the protest at Jafrabad and Turkman Gate


Protests at the ongoing Zafarabad and Turkman Gate against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) were also stopped by the police after the evacuation of Shaheen Bagh in Delhi due to Corona virus. Some people were also detained here. Protest was going on here for a long time. The riots started from Zafarabad. Police took action simultaneously at Shaheen Bagh, Jafrabad and Turkman Gate. The action of Delhi Police started from around 7 am. At the same time, the police explained to evacuate in Shaheen Bagh, if not convinced, then took action. 

Police arrived with heavy police force at 7 am on Wednesday morning to evacuate Shaheen Bagh, Jafrabad and Turkman Gate. There were some women and men. First the police explained. When not accepted, after about half an hour, the police took action at around seven thirty. Some women ran away. There is a lot of garbage and tents on the road, it is being removed with the help of the people of MCD. 

It goes on to say that the continuous protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Shaheen Bagh in Delhi has been ended for the last 101 days. Delhi Police evacuated the place due to Coronavirus. The administration says the protest was called off to prevent the spread of corona virus infection. A total of 9 people were arrested from Shaheen Bagh. There are 6 women and 3 men. Action was taken in view of curfew and section 144 in Delhi. Action was taken so that there was no problem in the movement of essential goods and emergency vehicles. 

Significantly, due to the Corona virus, two groups clashed on Sunday in the Shaheen Bagh of Delhi amid the call for public curfew to shut down the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Both sides were beaten and abused for about half an hour. One side wanted the PM's announcement of the Janata curfew to be supported while the other side was not willing to accept it. On this matter, there was confusion on both sides. However, the matter was later pacified. At the time of the upsurge, the crowd had taken up the same items kept in the stage from which people give speeches.
